Quotable Quotes :)

My initial experience going to a library and that too a big one i.e. The British Council library in New Delhi, India was an extremely boring one. For some weird reason i decided i wanted to read about Morse-code and something complicated like that ( god knows to please whom?! ) ... Anyways, i did read some such stuff ( and i was just a school student)  - so it goes without saying i was in a semi-doze kind of situation...

After i had sufficiently killed myself with boredom and feeling awkward to look all around the library for more options ( coz i was young and stupid and very conscious that some people were watching my movement around the place)... i was pushed to a level where i  just HAD to move out of the seat i thought i was going to stay glued in, lest my snores are heard all around... i pushed myself around the place to finally find something that interested me!

Quotes, by some interesting authors... and i would love to share it in my blog ( more importantly coz the piece of paper i scribbled them in, is showing increasing signs of losing itself where i cannot find it forever!).

Here goes: -

Oxford Dictionary of Quotations:

by ULYSSES (1922)

"A man of genius makes no mistake.
His errors are volitional and are the portals of discovery."

by SHAKESPEARE

" Virtue that transgresses is but patched with sin;
   and sin that amends is but patched with virtue."

"Love sought is good,
  but giv'n unsought is better"

"But be not afraid of greatness;
  some men are born great,
  some achieve greatness,
  and some have greatness thrust upon them."

"Age - I do abhor thee,
  Youth, I do adore thee."

" Though i am not naturally honest,
   I am so sometimes by chance."

by GEORGE BERNARD SHAW

" I enjoy convalescence.
   It is the part that makes illness worthwhile."

" When a stupid man is doing something he is ashamed of,
   he always declares that it is his duty."

" A man of great common sense and good taste,
   meaning thereby a man without originality or moral courage."

"What really flatters a man is that you think him worth flattering."

"He who can, does.
  He who cannot, teaches"

"He knows nothing; and he thinks he knows everything.
  That points clearly to a political career."

"Beware of the man who does not return your blow;
  he neither forgives you nor allows you to forgive yourself."

"Take care to get what you like,
  or you will be forced to like what you get."

These were a choice few i took from that huge dictionary - love each one of them!
